CONNECTIONS WITH POTTERS COTTAGE

I enrolled in an early term at the newly opened Potter's School in Warrandyte to study Stoneware and Raku with Reg Preston, Elsa Arden, Peter Laycock and occasionally Phyl Dunn.

After one year as a student, I was invited to join the team as "Hand Building Tutor". I was one of eight former students of the school to be invited to be permanent exhibitors at Potter's Gallery, eventually becoming co-director with other potters at the school. I have had many successful solo and joint exhibitions at the Potter's Gallery and continued to teach at the school until 1980, when I left to open Strawberry fields gallery in McAdam Square in Croydon.
